The Spring Garden Dress
Could this dress be my favorite? I love all of them, but this one has a special place in my heart. That’s because MeiMei wore the one I made for her for her first birthday family photos. For our 2024 version, we’ve used unique Balinese fabrics: the mini-check on the fully-lined bodice is adorned with tiny garlands of buds. The braid tie picks up the subtle blue in the charming spring garden print. And the crocheted-style lace that edges the hem of the full gathered skirt has a rose theme too.
The photographic rose print fabric in the skirt in the first-birthday photo is available by special order. Searching in Bali for fabrics that would be right for this special (and all) occasion dress, I couldn’t resist the pink checked gingham with an unusual overlay of delicate branches with tiny berries. It pairs beautifully with the overall spring garden print and blue flowered braid. Above are three pattern mixes I hope you and your customers will love.
